Imprinted by a lifetime in these islands, sculptor Jerry Vasconcellos shapes images that can be at once familiar and surprising.  Since he began in 1970, his work in stone, bronze and local woods has been displayed in shows from Hawaii to Alaska to Portugal.  In this upcoming show that offers older pieces as well as recent work, we can see part of the long arc of this artist's development as a sculptor.

A tropical design collection of screen printed fabric, clothing, interior furnishings and banners inspired by the plants, sea life, and material cultures of Hawaii, Polynesia and Pacific Islands. The collection can be seen at Tutuvi Sitoa in Honolulu, Hawaii.
